Shawn Kemp is a retired NBA legend who played for four major basketball teams across the United States.
Born on November 26, 1969, he grew up in Elkhart, Indiana, with his mother, Barbara, after his aprents divorced when he was in kindergarten.
He soon became the star player on his school basketball team.
After a complicated college career, he declared his intention to enter the NBA draft in 1989, when he began playing for the Seattle SuperSonics.

He played as a power forward and stands at 2.08 meters - 6 foot 10 inches - tall.
Kemp was married to Marvena L Thomas and they had three children together, including basketball players Shawn Jr and Jamon.
