What you need for The MPTC ROC Registration Process in the MPTC Acadis Training Portal
The MPTC Recruit Officer Course Registration process is completed online via the MPTC Acadis Portal.
- Registration requests for prospective student officers must be submitted by the Department Chief or Agency Point of Contact via the MPTC Acadis Portal, including for self-sponsored applicants.
- All student officers must meet the eligibility requirements.
Recruit Officer Course Acadis Registration Guide for Departments
- This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to submit a registration requestat MPTC police academies.
- All application packet requirements remain the same and may be uploaded within the MPTC Acadis Portal as part of the registration process.
- Note: The MPTC does not take registrations for the authorized police academies. You must contact the authorized academy directly for their scheduled dates, process to apply and tuitioncosts.
The requirements are:
- Must be 21 years old
- Must be a full-time employee or a sponsored applicant, whether a part-time officer or not currently employed
- Passing the HRD comprehensive medical exam
- Successful completion of the HRD Physical Ability Test (PAT)
- A signedAgreement and Indemnification required by all Student Officers
- A Conditional Offer of Employment or Full-time Appointment Notice for full-time officers
- The MPTC Recruit Officer Course (ROC) Waiver and Release for Self Sponsored Applicants (only)
What to expect after submitting a registration request
- An automatic email notification will be sent confirming that the registration request has been submitted. However, this does not mean that the student is enrolled.
- Priority is given to full-time municipal, University of Massachusetts, and environmental police officers. All seats are assigned in the order in which completed registrations are received.
- Once the MPTC Recruit Officer Course Coordinator reviews the registration requirements and officially enrolls the student in an Academy, email notification will be sent out to the student and Department Chief or Agency Point of Contact with enrollment confirmation and further details.
Fees for The MPTC ROC Registration Process in the MPTC Acadis Training Portal
Tuition must be paid seven days prior to the Academy's start date in the form of an official agency check, certified bank check or money order.
