  • Andy Cohen responded to a troll who called his left eye “lazy” and “droopy.”
  • He’s been insecure about the “wandering eye” since he started working on camera.
  • “I called my mom. I was like, ‘I’m deformed,’” he recalled from his early career.

If it doesn’t have to do with The Real Housewives, Andy Cohen has no time for petty drama. That’s why, when a troll recently insulted his appearance by saying he has a “lazy droopy left eye,” Cohen could hardly be bothered.

“Can someone interview @andy and ask him how he deals with his lazy droopy left eye?” the now-deleted tweet from the troll read, per Today. The Watch What Happens Live! host quoted the tweet and responded: “I ignore it baby.”

Thankfully, Cohen’s doting fans came to his defense, most of them claiming to have never noticed it.

“I didn’t even notice. Makes you even more unique. #likeyouevenmore,” one person replied. “It’s a wink that sparkles for only the right people,” another joked. “I’ve literally never noticed but how disgusting of that person to say such a thing,” another wrote.

Cohen has actually opened up about his “wandering eye” as an insecurity before. When he first broke into live TV, he feared it would limit his opportunities. In fact, one of his early bosses told him he’d “never make it on camera.” But the 52-year-old has learned to embrace his quirks.

“When I wound up getting on air, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so harsh. I’m horribly deformed,’” he said on the How to Be Amazing podcast in 2017. “I called my mom. I was like, ‘I’m deformed.’ And she was like, ‘You do not have a wandering eye.’ And I go, ‘No, I do. I promise you. People are telling me across the country.’”

Ironically enough, almost consecutively with that one hateful comment, Cohen was showered with compliments on Instagram after posting a photo with his old dog Wacha, whom he re-homed before welcoming his 2-year-old son, Ben.

People adored the pup pic, but friends and followers were more interested in how fit Cohen looked. “Leg day yesterday! Poppin’!” one person wrote. “C’mon LEGS,” another wrote. “Quad game on point!” another added.

Just one of many examples of how love and positivity will always outshine the hate.
